Fabulous selection of excellent condition vintage and designer-ware. The people who work there are kind and knowledgeable. As a first-time Oscar attendee I needed all the help I could get, and I got it there

An absolute gem. Vintage at its best: a carefully and tastefully curated selection of authentic and high-quality pieces representing many decades of fashion.
Importantly: Wonderful reception, highly accommodating and competent staff - outstanding service.

Brilliant experience from start to finish. Unfortunately not enough time due to the fact I was on the way to LAX back to Europe, but could not resist purchasing a vintage blouse. Looking forward to my next visit already.

Thank you for keeping the spirit of fashion, and the way we understand it, bright.

I have done business with The Way We Wore for several years now. I love Doris and know she and her Staff work hard to please their customers. Doris has a wealth of vintage knowledge which she gives freely to those who have interest. I just got a pair of Chanel shoes for the first time in my life ( I am way over 45) ?. They are perfect.
Over the years Doris has been kind and generous to me. Thank you.

The most fabulous service I’ve ever received, and such an impressive selection of beautiful true vintage. It was the most organized out of any vintage store I’ve ever been to as well. The owner is an absolute delight and every single employee was beyond helpful

Well I haven't even been there yet. I do know it's a shop for women and I don't wear woman's clothing. I decided to read the reviews and for the ladies that don't know , it's called QUALITY. Prices for Quality clothing and quality vintage clothing and accessories are more expensive.Or perhaps you have not.vintage doesn't mean cheep, out of style, torn or disheveled . It simply means from another era. So When you enter store that is filled with elegance, style and charm and prices are more than the thrift store you usually go to don't be bitter be better and treat yourself to something nice for a change. Anyways ladies have a good day and be nice.
Ok! Fast forward a year and I finally got to meet Doris! That woman has such a star quality about her I couldn't help but be star struck. Her store blew my mind with the amazing quality . Doris has taste, style and a professionalism most stores have lost. I recommend her to all women that have 5 star taste. If you don't buy something from The wat we wore and it will look like you do. It was a pleasure meeting you Doris! I'll always be a Fan.

SAME OLD...SAME OLD. Will we ever stop anti-black bias or will my posterity and I have to put up with this nonsense forever?!

My wife and I walk into this store today and were given only the most perfunctory of greetings. The attendant barely even looks up or comes from the back where she was sitting. This was bad enough, especially after my wife has fantasized about coming to this store for almost two years since watching the TV show LA Frock Stars on the Smithsonian Channel.

About five minutes later, after being generally ignored by the attendant, a white-appearing woman enters. All of a sudden, the white-appearing attendant comes alive, is effusive in her greeting, and explains the layout of the store as she winsomely engages the white shopper.

My wife goes over to the attendant and asks why we did not hear about the store upon entering, and she says, "Oh, I thought you heard when I spoke to the other shopper." This is the kind of stuff that makes us Black folks sick and tired. LA is supposed to be the "city of woke," and yet these aggressions based solely on personal bias continue unabated. I am personally and generationally disgusted by this, and the attendant, owners, and anyone connected with this store and show should be ashamed to be associated with this kind of behavior. I WILL NEVER GO BACK HERE AGAIN.

For an inspired experience where you feel comfortable and customer service that is old school go visit this museum/shop of everything fabulous in vintage attire. The selection is off the hook. Doris Raymond is the most generous curator I have ever met and I have been shopping in LA for over 40 years.

I must say The Way We Wore is truly the mecca of vintage!

I've never in my life gone into a boutique and have had my breath taken away by not only the decor but the merchandise AND on top of that the always lovely and enchanting beautiful young ladies who make up the essence of The Way We Wore's boutique.

Doris when she has time is more than happy to educate you on the many facets of Vintage and why its the conscious route to shop in the year 2016!!
